Traumatic Incident Reduction Training Workshop: Level One
LOCATION
1695 Nevan Court, Ruthven
Please go to the far right of the garage and you’ll see signage. Come in the door, up the stairs and into the house, no need to knock! Although this is also my home, we have separate entrances and space. Just come right down the stairs and make yourself as comfy as possible! Please arrive no earlier than 8:45 am. We will begin learning at 9:00 am daily.
PARKING
Please park anywhere on the driveway or road either in the cul de sac or on Branco Drive.
DAILY SCHEDULE
There is a great deal of learning and practice time involved in this training, so our time is planned carefully. Students questions and discussion pertaining to the training are invited, and in fact, considered an essential component of successful learning. Please respect the time parameters that are involved. Full attendance and participation is required for continuing education credits as well as for a certificate of attendance.
FOOD
We encourage you pack a lunch. Of course, you are welcome to go out. If anyone needs an exact lunch break time, please let me know. Otherwise, we will break around mid-day. We will break, as needed throughout the day for snacks and drinks. Snacks and hot and cold drinks will be provided for you for break time. If you have any allergies, please let me know.
SCENT AND CHEMICAL FREE ZONE
For the comfort of all of our participants and a scent and chemical allergy of one of my interns, I ask that you kindly refrain from using any scented lotions, perfumes and body sprays, as well as scented products before or during this training. Non-fragranced products, and only 100% natural essential oils are fine to be used. I thank you in advance for doing your part to keep all of us enjoying this valuable time together.
CONSIDERATIONS
In order to get the best value from this training:
Get plenty of sleep and eat well before and during the training
Don’t drink alcohol during the time you are taking the training. A number of the exercises you will be doing are difficult or impossible if done while you are experiencing any lingering effects of mind-altering substances. Although a single drink the night before a training day would probably not affect most students, it does affect some. For best results, avoid alcohol while doing this training. If this is of any concern, please do not hesitate to talk to Amie about this.
If possible avoid the use of drugs of any sort while doing the workshop. If you are required to take medication, let Amie know about it. Many medications do not interfere with concentration, but some make it more difficult to have effective sessions.
If something in your life is bothering you to such a degree that it is hard for you to concentrate during the training, please let Amie know about this.
Dress comfortable. Learning with pants digging in is the worst.
I am delighted to share this time with you! I hope you are ready for a fantastic time of learning and fun! This is exciting material, I can not wait to share it with you! Reach out with any questions, concerns or screams of excitement! See you soon! xoxo
